Overview
Bingo Bango Bongo is a game played within a round of golf. It can be played with 2-4 people. Its a great way for fellow golfers to compete against each other in a fun way no matter how much their skill sets vary.
Rules
To maximize fairness, you must adhere to strict etiquette and always allow the player who is furthest from the pin to play first.
A total of 3 points will be awarded for each hole; one point each for a Bingo, a Bango and a Bongo. It is possible for one player to receive all three points on a given hole.
- Bingo is awarded to the player whose ball reaches the green first.
- Bango is awarded to the player whose ball lands the closest to the pin once all balls have made it onto the green.
- Bongo is awarded to the player who sinks their putt first (assuming proper etiquette, this will be the player who sinks the longest putt).
Game Stakes
The game stakes can be determined however you like. Here are a couple of common examples:
- Example 1: Determine a bounty per point such as 1 unit. At the end of the match the player who wins collects from each player based on how many points they won by. For example, if the bounty was 1 unit and the winning player scored 30 points and the other player scored 24 points then the winning player would collect 6 units (the difference in their point totals) from the losing player.
- Example 2: At the beginning of the game, all players chip in for the same amount. The player with the most points at the end of the match is rewarded with the whole pot.
